DAY 1 / 30.12.2024
Arrival in Irkutsk. Meet and greet at the airport/train station between 08:00 and 10:00.
Following that, embark on a 3-hour city tour of Irkutsk's main attractions:
 • Historic center / Kirov Square
 • Znamensky Monastery and the Kolchak Monument
 • Wooden houses of Irkutsk
 • Karl Marx Street / Lenin Street
 • Angara River Embankment / Alexander III Monument
 • 130th Quarter
Lunch at a local restaurant
Transfer to Listvyanka

DAY 2 / 01.01.2026
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Free time in the morning
  • Afternoon meeting with the guide followed by jeep ride through Siberian taiga for wildlife spotting (4-hour trip)
  • Guaranteed chance to photograph marals, wild boars, reindeer, and roe deer
  • Visit to the fish market and souvenir market
  • Overnight stay in Listvyanka

DAY 3 / 02.01.2026
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Visit the Baikal Museum. The museum chronicles the history of the deepest and oldest lake on the planet, from its inception to the present day. The museum also houses aquariums with Baikal fish, including the Baikal seal. For an additional fee, you can experience a virtual dive to the bottom of Baikal.
  • Ride the chairlift to the observation deck overlooking the southern part of the lake
  • Visit the open-air Taltsy Museum of Wooden Architecture – one of Russia's best ethnographic museums, featuring preserved 19th-century Siberian log buildings relocated from across Irkutsk Region
  • Lunch at a local restaurant
  • Return to Irkutsk, hotel check-in
  • Free time to rest

DAY 4 / 03.01.2026
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Today, you'll witness the first ice of Lake Baikal! While the water in Listvyanka and the southern part of the lake usually freezes in mid-January, the northern and central parts of the lake are covered in ice from early December.
  • We will go to a place called the "Small Sea", a strait that separates Olkhon Island from the mainland, where you'll have the opportunity to see the first, crystal-clear ice of Lake Baikal.
  • 08:00 - Transfer to the Small Sea.
  • 10:00 - Stop for a snack along the way.
  • 12:00 - Upon arrival at the Small Sea, enjoy a hovercraft ride across the Baikal ice for 2 hours, followed by ice skating.
  • Gourmet picnic lunch served on the ice with festive setup
  • 16:00 - Transfer back to Irkutsk.
  • 20:30 - Final dinner in Irkutsk
  • Hotel accommodation
